The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Russia have discussed the environmental situation in Karabakh at a meeting in Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a press conference following a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov.
“We devoted some time to this topic. We stated that representatives of Azerbaijani ministries are working with the participation of the Russian peacekeeping contingent on the ground, as you said. As in other cases, all the questions that our Azerbaijani colleagues have on the topic of implementing the agreements of tripartite statements are of priority importance for us. Our military on the ground is actively engaged in this,” Lavrov said.
Earlier it was reported that specialists from the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of Azerbaijan and AzerGold CJSC visited Khankandi, accompanied by Russian peacekeepers.
