The "Regulation on the Accreditation of Medical Institutions" has been approved in a new edition.
Medianews.az reports that Prime Minister Ali Asadov has signed a decision regarding this matter.
It was noted that the Ministry of Health must approve the envisaged normative legal acts within nine months, enter them into the State Register of Legal Acts, and inform the Cabinet of Ministers about this.
According to the decision, accreditation is carried out every 5 (five) years. Accreditation of a newly established medical institution is carried out 5 (five) years after the date it began operations (for private medical institutions, from the date they obtained a license).
The Center for Accreditation and Quality Control of Medical Institutions under the Ministry of Health, no later than April 15 of each calendar year, publishes on its official internet resource the list of medical institutions that are to be accredited in the next calendar year.
Part 1 of the decision comes into force on January 1, 2028.
