Price increase in Turkey: final digits

In June of this year, consumer prices in Turkey increased by 32.11 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

Medianews.az reports, citing the Turkey Statistical Institute's report that in June 2026, utilities in the country rose by 45.14 percent compared to June 2025, food and non-alcoholic beverages by 35.45 percent, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products by 34.15 percent, clothing and footwear by 14.18 percent.

Price increases in education stood at 46.1 percent, healthcare services at 33.62 percent, public catering and hotel services at 31.61 percent, transportation at 31.15 percent, insurance and financial services at 28.07 percent, communication services at 25.57 percent, recreation and cultural services at 25.39 percent, household goods at 22.32 percent.
