Emmanuel Macron will be the first French President to visit Syria after 17 years.
This was reported by the Syrian Presidential Administration.
It was noted that Macron will also be the first Western leader to visit Syria after Ahmed Al Sharaa comes to power at the end of 2024.
The exact date of the visit has not yet been announced.
It should be noted that the last time was in 2009 when former French President Nicolas Sarkozy visited Syria./Report
