Statement from the hospital regarding Ruhsar Gültekin's health condition

A statement has been made by the hospital where the well-known theater artist Ruhsar Gültekin, who suffered from brain hemorrhage twice, is receiving treatment, regarding her health condition.

Demokrat.az reports that Prof. Dr. Hamdi Karakayalı, the chief physician of Acıbadem University Atakent Hospital, stated that after the artist was diagnosed with brain hemorrhage and aneurysm at another medical institution, she applied to the hospital.

According to the statement, new bleeding was detected during the examinations. Ruhsar Gültekin was initially treated by interventional radiologist Assoc. Dr. Mehmet Barburoğlu, and later operated on by Prof. Dr. Kenan Koç and his team.

It was noted that during the operation the bleeding was drained and ventricular drainage was applied. It was reported that the artist’s treatment continues in the intensive care unit.

According to information provided by the hospital, Ruhsar Gültekin was awakened and examined in the morning hours of July 8. It was determined that her consciousness was clear and her condition was stable. It was explained that within the treatment process, the artist was put back to sleep and is being closely monitored by doctors.

The hospital administration stated that the artist’s condition is being monitored by a multidisciplinary medical team and that her treatment is continuing stably.
