US President Donald Trump made an unexpected decision while returning from the NATO summit held in Turkey.
Medianews.az reports, citing the "Associated Press" agency, that although Donald Trump arrived at the summit with the new presidential plane gifted by Qatar, he returned on the old presidential plane called "Air Force One".
Trump did not explain in detail the reason for the plane change. He only stated that he wanted to fly on the previous presidential plane "for old times' sake".
The "Associated Press" emphasizes that the change of plane coincides with the time when reciprocal strikes between the US and Iran have resumed and raises questions about the safety capabilities of the new presidential plane.
The US government spent 400 million dollars to equip the plane donated by Qatar with the necessary equipment. However, images of the plane indicate that it is not equipped with some missile detection and defense systems installed in previous presidential planes.
