The capital city representative club has given an official response regarding the information about FIFA imposing a transfer ban on the Premier League representative "Sabail" club.
In a statement given to "Qafqazinfo" by the club, although the existence of such a decision is confirmed, it has been noted that the issue has already been resolved on a legal basis:
"Yes, there is a relevant decision regarding this. At the same time, we inform that all salary obligations of "Sabail" PFC towards the footballer Mustafa Yakubu were fully fulfilled on June 9, and the contract was terminated by mutual agreement between the parties.
We note that the footballer made his appeal to the relevant authority before any payment was made, which is why the aforementioned decision was taken.
Currently, all necessary legal and administrative procedures are being carried out to annul the decision. All official documents confirming the full payment of the debt have been submitted to the relevant authority. Taking into account the current situation, it is expected that the mentioned decision will be annulled within 3-4 days. There is no reason for any concern, and there is no question of any debt."
Let us remind that the reason for this was the "Sailors" club's failure to fulfill its financial obligations to the footballer Mustafa Yakubu. The player, whose problem was not resolved, applied to FIFA. After the highest football authority reviewed Yakubu's complaint, it ruled in his favor and imposed a transfer ban on "Sabail."
