On July 10, during the attacks carried out by the Armed Forces of Ukraine with drones on Russian ships in the Sea of Azov, a ship operated by Azerbaijanis was also struck.
According to Medianews.az, as a result of the drone attack, the front part and the upper side of the ship named "Turbo SM" were damaged, and the rear rudder was torn off.
The "Turbo SM" is a dry cargo ship, sailing under the flag of the Comoros Islands, and was docked at the Azov port during the drone attack.
The captain of the ship, the captain's assistants, and all other crew members are Azerbaijanis.
Fortunately, no one on the "Turbo SM" was injured.
Medianews.az reports that before the "Turbo SM" was hit by the drone strike, the Azerbaijanis on board were engaged in filming the attacks on surrounding ships. We present those videos.
Let us recall that on June 5, during drone attacks in the Sea of Azov, the cargo ships named "Natra" and "Zirkon", operated by Azerbaijanis, were hit. Out of 25 Azerbaijani citizens, 4 were killed, including the captains of both ships, and several were injured.
