In 2029, a population census will be conducted in Azerbaijan.
Medianews.az reports that this will be the longest census process in the history of Azerbaijan's independence.
Since the restoration of our state independence (in 1991), the population census has been conducted three times in Azerbaijan — in 1999, 2009, and 2019.
The first census process lasted one week (January 27 - February 3, 1999), while the subsequent censuses lasted 10 days (April 13-22 in 2009, October 1-10 in 2019).
The 2029 population census process will continue for one month (from October 1 to 31).
