Crimes recorded during this reporting period decreased by 0.9% overall and non-military crimes decreased by 4.9% compared to the first half of last year.
Medianews.az reports that this was stated by Deputy Chief Prosecutor – Military Prosecutor of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Major General of Justice Bahruz Ahmadov, in a report presentation at the operational meeting held at the Military Prosecutor's Office.
It was noted that compared to the first half of 2025, in the first half of 2026, crimes of evasion from military service decreased overall by 21.2%, crimes of negligence in service by 9.1%, crimes of violating rules for handling weapons and items posing high danger to others by 50%, crimes of looting or extorting firearms, ammunition, explosives, and devices by 75%, crimes of violating traffic rules and vehicle operation regulations by 16.7%, hooliganism crimes by 71.4%, and bribery crimes (both taking and giving bribes) by 42.3%.
