Winning odds announced - "Eurovision 2026"

The website Eurovisionworld.com has analyzed the chances of participants in the "Eurovision 2026" international song contest.

Medianews.az reports that according to bookmakers' forecasts, Finland stands out with a 28 percent chance of winning.

France is shown with a 12 percent chance of victory, Denmark 10, Australia and Greece 8, Sweden 5, Israel 4, Ukraine and Italy 3, Romania, Cyprus, Malta, and the Czech Republic 2 percent chance.

The rest of the participants' chances of winning are evaluated at 1 percent or less.

35 countries are participating in the contest hosted by the Austrian capital Vienna. In the first semi-final (May 12), Belgium, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Croatia, Israel, Sweden, Lithuania, Moldova, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Serbia, and Greece will compete; in the second semi-final (May 14), Albania, Australia, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Armenia, Switzerland, Italy, Cyprus, Latvia, Luxembourg, Malta, Norway, Romania, and Ukraine will take part.

There are 10 slots available for the final from each semi-final. Germany, Austria, Great Britain, France, and Italy will join the contest in the final (May 16).

Azerbaijan will be represented by Cəmilə Həşimova.

The country previously competed in Eurovision 17 times. In 2008, Elnur Hüseynov and Samir Cavadzade placed 8th; in 2009, Aysel Teymurzadə and Arash took 3rd place; in 2010, Safura Alizadeh took 5th place; in 2011, Nigar Camal and Eldar Qasımov won 1st place; in 2012, Sabina Babayeva finished 4th; in 2013, Farid Mammadov was 2nd; in 2014, Dilara Kazimova placed 22nd; in 2015, Elnur Hüseynov placed 12th; in 2016, Samra Rahimli took 17th; in 2017, Diana Hajiyeva placed 14th; in 2019, Çingiz Mustafayev was 8th; in 2021, Samira Efendi took 20th place; and in 2022, Nadir Rustamli was 16th.

In 2018, Aysel Məmmədova, in 2023 Tural and Turan Bağmanov, in 2024 Fəxri İsmayılov and İlkin Dövlətov, and in 2025 the group "Mamaqama" did not pass the semi-finals.

Ireland and Sweden have each won 7 times; the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, and Great Britain 5 times; Israel 4 times; Switzerland, Denmark, Italy, Austria, Norway, and Ukraine 3 times; Spain and Germany 2 times; and Monaco, Belgium, Yugoslavia, Estonia, Latvia, Turkey, Greece, Finland, Serbia, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Portugal each once.
