Pakistan’s public organizations, Global Strategic Institute for Sustainable Development and Youth Diplomacy Forum, have joined the support for Azerbaijani activists over the situation around the Lachin Road, informs the Eurasian Regional Center of ICYF (ICYF-ERC).
“The environmental monitoring should be held by ecologists and environmental volunteers and the exploitation of all natural resources should be carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Azerbaijan. We demand that the safety of Azerbaijani environmental activists is guaranteed and that the Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations be preserved and implemented at all costs. It will only be possible when environmental terrorism will end and criminals will be held accountable and in this way, peace would be maintained in the region as a whole,” says the statement of the Global Strategic Institute for Sustainable Development.
On its part, the Youth Diplomacy Forum calls to facilitate conditions for environmental monitoring to be held by the ecologists and environmentalists to monitor mines that are damaging environment.
