“After the victory, I looked and wondered what to write, what to write?! I wanted to write a song. I saw that everyone was writing songs. I had started the ballet ‘Karabagnama’, but I stopped halfway. I am not writing for now. This is creativity. Sometimes it develops, sometimes it doesn’t. I started writing several pieces, then I saw that it didn’t continue. That’s why I have put it aside for now. I will write when inspiration comes. This is not a commission, not some other work. This is purely a topic coming from within. Also, I have been busy with other music for quite some time,” said People’s Artist and well-known composer Eldar Mansurov in his statement to Medianews.az.

He later stated that in recent years he has been supporting young people more:
“If I don’t support the youth, then who will? Now is the time for me to lend them a hand. They are talented as well. Mashallah, we have those who sing well. I help with whatever is needed. I cannot say ‘don’t sing my songs.’ For whom are songs written? Songs are for the people, the public. So does that mean that the works sung by Rashid Behbudov, Muslim Magomayev shouldn’t be sung by anyone? That can’t be. Of course, one shouldn’t ruin or break a song’s structure. I see and realize when it is not sung properly, when they add things of their own. You cannot know more than me. You are a young person, just starting out in this field. Come ask me, and I will tell you to do this or that.”
Eldar Mansurov also spoke about the performance of his works abroad:
“Only ‘Bayatiylar’ was sung worldwide. After that, I registered all my works with the Intellectual Property Agency. I am the only composer who has taken this step and my copyright is protected. Abroad, they either wrote anonymously or attributed the work to another author. Practically, the copyright for all my works is protected,” the composer stated.
