Armenian colleagues refused to come to Moscow, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting with his Azerbaijani counterpart Jeyhun Bayramov in Moscow, Report informs.
“It is a pity that such an opportunity was missed,” he said.
“Discussions on the issue of a peace treaty will continue today. We were preparing for this event, but unfortunately, at the last moment, our Armenian colleagues refused to come to Moscow, explaining this by the situation on the ground. We need to meet regularly, negotiate and create ground to resolve all issues,” said Lavrov.
Foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Armenia were to meet in Moscow on December 23 to discuss the preparation of a peace treaty, but Yerevan refused to participate in the meeting.
