Illegal poultry slaughtering site operating in a private residential area owned by individual Babayev Natiq Sömağa oglu in Salyan city was detected by the employees of the Food Safety Agency.
Medianews.az reports that during the inspection it was revealed that the slaughterhouse was operating directly in the private residential area without food safety registration.
It was also determined that the poultry slaughtering and processing procedures were not organized in accordance with sanitary-hygienic requirements.
Specifically, the site lacked the necessary production areas required for the acceptance, storage, stunning, bleeding, cleaning, removal of entrails, packaging, and refrigeration of poultry during processing. At the same time, it was found that there were no accompanying documents confirming the origin of the poultry brought for slaughter, the chicken meat products put on sale did not pass veterinary-sanitary examination, ventilation and temperature control systems were not installed, waste generated during production was not properly managed, and employees were not provided with special clothing.
An administrative protocol was drawn up against the entrepreneur regarding the identified deficiencies, and samples of the products were taken and sent for laboratory examination.
An order was issued to suspend the institution's activities and restrictive decisions were made, and compulsory instructions were given to eliminate the shortcomings.
