The hidden danger in the kitchen: In your salt shaker...

Research shows that the salt and other spice containers frequently used in the kitchen can harbor Salmonella bacteria.

According to Milli.Az, scientists from Rutgers University have determined that these containers are rarely washed and disinfected, which facilitates the spread of bacteria.

According to experts, touching the salt container without washing hands after contact with raw meat can contaminate it. During the study, bacterial traces were found in approximately half of the spice containers.

To prevent food poisoning, it is recommended to regularly wash and disinfect kitchen surfaces, cutting boards, and spice containers.
