“Qarabağ” midfielder Pedro Bicalho participated in a press conference held before the 7th round of the UEFA Champions League group stage match against “Eintracht”.
Medianews.az, referring to “Qafqazinfo”, presents the opinions of the Brazilian footballer:
- Today is January 20. I know that this is a very important and sorrowful day for the country. 36 years ago, people took to the streets for independence and sacrificed their lives. May God bless their souls. Regarding the game, I would say this is a Champions League match, very important for us. We were in Turkey, where we prepared. This was very important for us. I believe and hope that we will be able to put into practice what we worked on during this training camp tomorrow.
- Do you consider this match important for your career?
- I can say for sure that yes. Considering the prestige of the tournament and the importance of the game, it is a very important match. If we win, you can imagine what can happen.
- Do you have the goal of being "the best player of the match" again?
- I do not have such a goal. The main thing is the team’s victory. The key is to win. Who will be chosen after the game is another matter.
- Your name was associated with many clubs. To what extent did this affect your ability to focus on the game against “Eintracht”?
- I can say definitely that this does not prevent me from focusing on the game. This match is the most important game of my career. I am completely focused on this encounter. Other matters are the responsibility of Qurban Qurbanov and the club management. I am only thinking about the game.
