Although the summer season has entered Azerbaijan, the weather still resembles spring or autumn, and moreover, warnings of rain and hail for the next few days have attracted attention. Against the background of climate change, such sudden weather transitions are frequently observed, raising the question: how normal is this situation and how should it be evaluated within the framework of seasonal changes?
According to Medianews.az, ecologist Gorkhmaz Ibrahimli told "demokrat.az" regarding the issue that rainy weather will still be observed in the coming days, which is completely normal for the season and there is no reason for concern:
"Summer heat will also be felt in the coming days, and more stable, sunny weather conditions will form. Currently, there are various opinions about anomalous temperatures or prolonged cold, rainy weather in some places.
However, such variability is characteristic of the transition period from spring to summer and is considered a natural course of climate transition. The number of sunny days is expected to increase, and it is recommended to make the most of such weather conditions. This year the spring season has been somewhat extended, and because it passed with cool and rainy conditions, the transition to summer regime appears relatively delayed.
In fact, it was expected that this rainy and cool weather would continue until June 22, but it is observed to have prolonged somewhat.
At the same time, the situation regarding the opening of the bathing season is also noteworthy. Although the season is officially opened in mid-June, decisions have been made to temporarily restrict access in some beaches.
Although such measures are repeated every year, their specific duration is sometimes not precisely announced in advance.
In any case, an increase in temperature and the formation of warmer weather conditions are expected in the coming days. With the full manifestation of summer, the weather conditions will also stabilize," he noted.
Thus, the unstable and rainy weather conditions observed in Azerbaijan should be evaluated as the natural progression of the transition period from spring to summer.
According to ecologists, the temporary decrease in temperature and the prolongation of rainfall is not considered an anomaly and there is no reason for concern. In the coming days, with the stabilization of atmospheric processes, an increase in the number of sunny days, and rising temperatures, the true summer weather across the country will begin to be fully felt.
