Two people drowned in the Bilgəh settlement of Baku.
Medianews.az reports that two of the four friends who came to swim in the area drowned in the sea.
FHN employee Farid Ilhamoglu stated that the body of one of the drowning youths was pulled from the water by two other friends and handed over to the authorities:
“Two people have drowned in the area, the lifeless body of one person has been pulled out by his friends and handed over. The search for Rahman Amirov, born in 2003, who is presumed to have drowned, is ongoing.”
Relative of Rahman Amirov, Nihad Huseynli, gave a statement to journalists about the incident:
“Suddenly the water level rose, a strong wave formed, and two started drowning. When one was pulled out of the water, he was already deceased. Rahman drifted away after being caught in the current and could not be found. Rahman had just returned from military service.”
