An incident happened between police and civilians in Dashtepe village, Marneuli district, Georgia, where Azerbaijanis reside compactly, APA’ Georgia bureau reports citing local media.
The event occurred after the police ordered the car’s driver to “stop.” According to reports, the driver of the car attempted to flee the area by increasing speed, but lost control of the vehicle and drove it over the Dashtepe village bridge.
According to witnesses, three persons in the automobile and some villagers began stoning the responding police patrol car. As a result, the police car was damaged. Later, there was an encounter between locals who supported the police and others who opposed them.
The driver of the car was said to be inebriated.
