The Armenian parliament has approved the country's 2026 budget. According to the budget law adopted on December 4, revenues are expected to increase by 8.9 percent and expenditures by 5.4 percent compared to 2025, resulting in a deficit of nearly 1.4 billion dollars next year.
Medianews.az reports that the Defense Ministry's expenses are expected to decrease by 15.3 percent, the Ministry of Internal Affairs' expenses by 2.2 percent, while social protection expenses will increase by 9.6 percent, education expenses by 21 percent, and healthcare expenses by 26.5 percent.
