On December 8, new allegations have emerged regarding Nicat Quliyev, an employee of the State Agency for the Protection of Strategic Objects (SOMDA), whose body was found shot in an apartment in the Nizami district of the capital.
Nicat Quliyev had undergone long-term treatment at one of the psychiatric hospitals a few months ago.
It is also claimed that the deceased had a considerable amount of debt. The possibility that N. Quliyev committed suicide for this reason is being suggested.
Many details about him remain unknown for now.
Recall that the murder incident occurred last night in one of the houses near the "Neftçilər" metro station.
There are substantial suspicions that Nicat Quliyev attempted to take his own life by shooting himself with a firearm.
The deceased’s mother, Mətanət Quliyeva, is the sister-in-law of the president of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (AMEA), academician İsa Həbibbəyli. M. Quliyeva, who holds a PhD in philology, is an associate professor and head of department at Nakhchivan State University.
