According to the report of the State Statistics Committee, in November, consumer prices in Azerbaijan increased by 5.5 percent compared to the same month of 2024, food products, alcoholic beverages, and tobacco products rose by 7.1 percent, non-food products by 2.5 percent, and paid services by 5.7 percent.
Medianews.az reports that in 1992, prices in the country increased by 10.1 times, in 1993 by 12.3 times, in 1994 by 17.6 times, in 1995 by 5.1 times, with inflation of 19.9 percent in 1996 and 3.7 percent in 1997.
The year 1998 ended with a 0.8 percent decrease, and 1999 with an 8.5 percent decrease in prices.
Inflation rates were officially registered as 1.8 percent in 2000, 1.5 percent in 2001, 2.8 percent in 2002, 2.2 percent in 2003, 6.7 percent in 2004, 9.6 percent in 2005, 8.3 percent in 2006, 16.7 percent in 2007, 20.8 percent in 2008, 1.5 percent in 2009, 5.7 percent in 2010, 7.9 percent in 2011, 1.1 percent in 2012, 2.4 percent in 2013, 1.4 percent in 2014, 4 percent in 2015, 12.4 percent in 2016, 12.9 percent in 2017, 2.3 percent in 2018, 2.6 percent in 2019, 2.8 percent in 2020, 6.7 percent in 2021, 13.9 percent in 2022, 8.8 percent in 2023, and 2.2 percent in 2024.
