Rafael Huseynov was elected as a deputy of the Milli Majlis in the years 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, 2020, and 2024. He has held the position of deputy chairman since September 23, 2024.
The current Milli Majlis elected on September 1, 2024, consists of 124 deputies.
The New Azerbaijan Party represents 67 seats, the Civic Solidarity Party 3, the Justice, Law, Democracy Party, the Great Azerbaijan Party, the Republican Alternative Party, the Democratic Reforms Party, the Great Construction Party, the Azerbaijan National Independence Party, the Motherland Party, the National Front Party, the Azerbaijan Democratic Enlightenment Party each have 1 seat, and independents hold 45 seats.
The Milli Majlis consists of 125 members. In 2025, the mandate of one deputy from the New Azerbaijan Party was terminated, and one deputy left the Justice, Law, Democracy Party.
