Foreign Ministers of Turkey and Ukraine Mevlut Cavusoglu and Dmitry Kuleba held telephone conversation on Saturday.
“During the conversation, the latest developments related to the conflict in Ukraine were discussed. Kuleba also expressed his condolences in connection with the accident [at the mine] in Bartin,” according to a source in the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
On October 13 Russian and Turkish Presidents Vladimir Putin and Tayyip Erdogan met in Astana to discuss creating a gas hub in Turkey, building another nuclear power plant in Sinop, and supporting agreements on the export of grain from Ukraine through the Black Sea. At the same time, the presidents did not touch upon the situation in Ukraine, according to Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov. Peskov said that the issue “wasn’t touched upon at all”.
