According to the official report, in the period of January-May, the average monthly nominal salary of paid employees in Azerbaijan increased by 7.3 percent compared to the same period of 2025.
Medianews.az reports that pensions in the country are indexed every year on January 1 according to the annual growth rate of the average monthly salary. The final figure will be known in February 2027.
The retirement age in Azerbaijan is 65.
The minimum pension amount is 320 manat.
For pension assignment, either 25 years of insurance experience or the minimum pension capital is required. The minimum pension capital is calculated by multiplying the minimum pension indicator (320) by the number of months (144) of the expected pension payment period (12 years), currently amounting to 46,080 manat.
From January 1, 2006 to July 1, 2018, a person who has accumulated any amount of pension capital and has at least 1 year of insurance experience is assigned a pension; otherwise, a monthly allowance of 220 manat is given to a person who has reached retirement age according to age.
