The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has expressed serious concern over the military provocation committed by the Armenian Armed Forces along the state border of Azerbaijan and condemned the actions of the Armenian army.
The General Secretariat called on Armenia to fulfill its obligations in accordance with the tripartite statement signed between Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia on November 10, 2020, as well as the agreements reached between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and withdraw illegal armed formations from the territory of Azerbaijan.
Referring to the resolution adopted by the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers at the 48th session held in Islamabad, Pakistan on March 22-23, 2022, the General Secretariat calls for the normalization of relations between Azerbaijan and Armenia based on mutual recognition and respect for sovereignty, territorial integrity and internationally recognized borders.
The General Secretariat expresses deep condolences to the families of the martyrs, the government and people of Azerbaijan and wishes a speedy recovery to the wounded.
