Pope Francis called on everyone to pray for the peaceful settlement of tensions between Azerbaijan and Armenia during his speech at the ceremony held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
“I learned that new tension sources have flared up in the Caucasus region. I call on everyone to pray for peace. Let’s pray that agreement prevails over sedition,” he said.
Pope Francis is on a visit to Kazakhstan. He is participating in the 7th Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions.
