The second leg of the Italian Cup semifinal between "Atalanta" and "Lazio" took place on April 21.
Medianews.az reports that the first meeting ended with a score of 2-2. The regular and extra time of the second match also ended 1-1, and the winner was determined by penalties.
Although Alessio Romagnoli opened the scoring in the 84th minute, "Atalanta" equalized just two minutes later with a goal from Mario Pašalić.
The hero of the night in the penalty shootout was Lazio’s 21-year-old goalkeeper Edoardo Motta.
The young goalkeeper saved 4 consecutive shots, leading his team to the final and causing great astonishment in the stadium. As a result, "Lazio" won the penalty shootout 2-1 and advanced to the final.
In the final, "Lazio" will face "Inter." The decisive match will be held on May 13.
