Commercial oil reserves in the US decreased by 1.693 million barrels last week to 409.7 million barrels.
Medianews.az reports that this was stated in the weekly report of the US Department of Energy.
According to the weekly indicators as of July 10, gasoline reserves decreased by 1.533 million barrels, while distillate reserves increased by 4.556 million barrels.
According to Trading Economics data, a decrease of 2.6 million barrels in oil reserves, a decrease of 800 thousand barrels in gasoline, and an increase of 100 thousand barrels in distillate reserves were expected.
Reserves at the Cushing terminal, where the oil traded on the New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX) is stored, increased by 430 thousand barrels.
