The number of Azerbaijani citizens injured as a result of a strike carried out by an unmanned aerial vehicle on a ship sailing under the flag of Palau in the Sea of Azov has reached four.
According to Medianews.az, another person injured during the incident - the ship's boatswain Rashad Madatkhanov - has been admitted to the traumatology department of Yeysk City Central Hospital.
He is currently receiving treatment in the same ward along with the other injured individuals Samid Ibadzade, Emin Valehov, and Namig Jafarli.
According to the information, the injured have been re-examined by doctors. It is reported that Emin Valehov has developed problems in his right ear. It is noted that Namig Jafarli has concerns about hearing in both ears. Rashad Madatkhanov has been reported to have sustained an injury to the head area.
Representatives of law enforcement agencies have also met with the injured and taken their statements. During the interrogation, some details of the strike became known.
According to the injured, the ship's chief mechanic Qismat Aliyev suffered severe burn injuries as a result of the strike by the unmanned aerial vehicle and lost his life.
It is reported that the ship's captain Fuad Orucov broke his leg during the attack and was seriously injured. According to the information, after being fitted with a life-jacket, he was lowered into the water. Based on the statements of the injured, Fuad Orucov also died as a result of the incident. (APA)
