Azerbaijanis rescued near Odessa Sent off to the homeland

10 Azerbaijani citizens rescued from the ship attacked by a drone near the city of Odessa were sent from Ukraine to their Homeland today.

Accompanied by Farid Babayev, counselor of the Azerbaijani embassy in Ukraine, and Perviz Asadov, an employee of the embassy, Azerbaijani citizens Latifova Gulana, Nasrullayev Tofiq, Samedov Sabuh, Ismayilov Ismail, Aliyev Ayon, Rahimov Javid, Rahimov Mehman, Akhundov Ismail, Aliyev Qurban, and Abasov Valeh were sent to Azerbaijan via Moldova on July 15.

Near the shores of Odessa, Ukraine, at around 15:15 local time, the civilian merchant ship named Atlas Bey, belonging to Turkey's "Okean Maritime" company, was attacked by a drone.

Among the crew members on the ship, 11 are citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to information, except for the ship's captain who is Azerbaijani, other crew members were taken ashore in the city of Odessa. The search for the captain continues. //Report
