The participant of the famous "Survivor Greece" competition, produced by the well-known businessman Acun Ilıcalı, Stavros Floros, had a serious accident in the Dominican Republic.
Medianews.az, citing "Qafqazinfo," reports that the incident occurred while the participant was spearfishing.
It is reported that Floros was hit by a tourist boat while in the sea and suffered severe injuries.
As a result of the accident, one of his legs was amputated, and the heel area of the other leg was seriously injured. After initial medical aid was provided to the participant at the scene, he was taken to the hospital.
The production team of the "Survivor" project stated that Stavros Floros's condition is serious but stable. According to the information, he is currently not in life-threatening danger.
The participant's father also said in a media statement that his son lost a lot of blood and that his survival is a miracle. He also denied claims about violations of safety rules.
It was reported that the filming of the competition has been suspended indefinitely following the incident. An investigation into the accident is underway.
