The video material states that in order to prevent the sharp decrease of water resources, it is absolutely necessary to develop new water schemes.
Expert on environmental issues Rovshan Abbasov stated regarding these schemes that we must use water resources more efficiently:
“Water resources must be divided more fairly between countries. Direct agreements should be made between upstream and downstream countries. International conventions should be taken into account. Especially conventions related to transboundary water management should be respected by all states. States should become members of these conventions and fulfill their requirements.”
