Medianews.az reports that researchers analyzed the genetic data of more than 3,000 people and identified 15 genes that may cause heart rhythm disorders.
It has been found that approximately 10 percent of patients under the age of 29 have these genetic changes.
As age increases, this indicator decreases and accounts for only 3 percent in people over 70 years old. According to scientists, cardiac arrest in elderly people is more often related to vascular blockage and other cardiovascular diseases.
Experts recommend that individuals with cases of sudden cardiac arrest in their family history undergo genetic testing so that the risk can be identified in the early stages and preventive measures can be taken.
