The trial of Amid Həsənov (name and surname are pseudonyms), accused of intentionally causing slight bodily harm with hooligan intent and hooliganism at the Binəqədi District Court, has concluded.
Medianews.az reports that the verdict was delivered in the proceeding chaired by Judge Elchin Agayev.
According to the court's verdict, he was sentenced to 1 year, 11 months, and 26 days of restricted freedom.
According to the investigation materials, the incident occurred in 2025, around 2 p.m., in the Binəqədi district of the capital city.
Specifically, Amid Həsənov, studying in the 11th grade at school number 248 named after Nizami Narimanov in Baku city, encountered Malik Lalayev (name and surname are pseudonyms), a 10th-grade student at the same school, on the street.
At that time, the accused person demanded an apology from Malik for looking at him along with his friends and having his hand in his pocket during the conversation. However, Malik refused to fulfill this demand. This caused a dispute between the parties.
Subsequently, without any valid reason, despite the street being considered a public place with people present, the accused grossly violated public order by ignoring the generally accepted rules of ethical behavior in society, considering himself superior to others, and committed acts openly disrespectful to society.
With the intent of hooliganism, he applied physical force against Malik by striking his nose area with punches.
As a result, the victim suffered a displaced fracture of the nasal bone, leftward deformation of the nasal area, respiratory disruption, and injuries accompanied by swelling.
Thus, the actions of the accused are evaluated both as intentional causing of slight bodily harm and as hooliganism that grossly violates public order, openly disrespects society, and is accompanied by the use of force. (Pravda.az)
