The initial scheme for UEFA's club tournaments for the 2026-2027 season has been announced.
Medianews.az reports that 84 teams are expected to enter the Champions League, 46 teams the Europa League, and 113 teams the Conference League.
All three tournaments have four qualifying stages. Teams eliminated in the first stage of the Champions League will move to the Conference League, those eliminated in subsequent stages will move to the Europa League, and teams eliminated in the Europa League qualifiers will advance to the Conference League.
It is expected that the Azerbaijani champion will start in the first qualifying round of the Champions League, the national cup winner will start in the first qualifying round of the Europa League, the bronze medalist will start in the first qualifying round of the Conference League, and the silver medalist will start from the second stage.
According to the regulations, in the 36-team league phases, the top 8 teams will advance to the round of 16, and teams placing 9th to 24th will advance to the round of 32.
