The visit of Russian Defense Minister Andrey Belousov to Baku is planned for October.
Medianews.az reports that Azerbaijan's ambassador to Moscow, Rahman Mustafayev, stated this at the Russia-Azerbaijan session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
The diplomat noted that "We have an open invitation for the Russian Defense Minister Mr. Belousov. We are eagerly awaiting his visit to Baku in October this year."
He emphasized that the visit could be "a very important and strong impetus": "Because this is a sensitive area of interaction. Of course, how closely and actively we work here will determine the overall level of relations and bilateral cooperation."
