A 7-year-old child drowned and died in a canal in Nakhchivan.
Milli.Az reports that the incident occurred in the area of Qarakhambeyli village, Nakhchivan city.
Specifically, Elmir Jahangir oglu Gurbanov, born in 2019, who was riding a bicycle in the village area, accidentally fell into a water canal due to carelessness. During the search operations, he was found and pulled out of the water.
Although he was taken to the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Hospital, it was not possible to save his life.
Law enforcement officers were involved at the scene of the incident.
An investigation is underway regarding the incident.
