In the city of Junsin located in the southwest of China, 8 people died and 34 others went missing as a result of a landslide caused by heavy downpours.
According to the "Xinhua" agency, the incident occurred on the banks of the Utszyan River.
So far, 10 people have been rescued.
Search and rescue operations are currently ongoing in the area.
