Information was received about the theft of 29,000 manat money and gold jewelry worth 1,000 manat from a woman's house in the Surakhani district.
Medianews.az reports that investigations conducted by police officers revealed that the act was committed by the 25-year-old daughter of the victim.
In her statement, she said that a person she met on social networks threatened and demanded money by threatening to spread defamatory information about him, and she gave the stolen funds from the house to that person.
O. Bagirov, suspected of committing the mentioned act, was also detained by police officers.
A criminal case has been initiated regarding the incident, and investigations are ongoing.
