Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met with Michael Harms, Chairman of the Eastern Committee of the German Economy, in Berlin on July 20.
Medianews.az reports that during the meeting, the increased interest of Azerbaijani and German businessmen, as well as their companies, in joint activities was emphasized, and ways to institutionalize such activities were discussed.
There was an exchange of views on the existing potential in traditional and alternative energy, as well as opportunities in connectivity, transportation, and logistics, including the Middle Corridor.
Recalling that a state program on agriculture had been adopted in Azerbaijan, attention was drawn to the possibilities of applying Germany's leading technologies in this field in our country, including prospects for cooperation in the direction of "smart agriculture."
During the conversation, there was also an exchange of views on utilizing our country's tourism potential and other mutually interesting topics.//report
