Former Liverpool head coach, head of Red Bull's football activities department Jurgen Klopp gave an interesting statement.
Publika.az reports that he spoke about "Bodo-Glimt," one of the surprise teams of the Champions League. The German expert even expressed his admiration for his colleague Ketil Knutsen, who coaches the team:
"Ketil Knutsen and his incredible team exist. What they have done is truly magnificent. Moreover, they did this during the off-season period. When does the season end in Norway? At the end of November. And now it is almost March. So, it’s been quite a while since they played competitive football. It’s incredible, fantastic.
Once I tried to contact Knutsen, but naturally, he was right in the middle of preparation for the games and had no time. That’s why I couldn’t meet with him. They are really capable of an unbelievable job. I want to learn more because I don’t fully understand what exactly they’ve done. Very interesting.
I understand the football they play, they already play very good football. But the whole project itself is incredibly interesting. It is truly very nice to see such things happen."
It should be noted that after the winter break, "Bodo-Glimt" defeated "Manchester City" (3:1) and "Atletico Madrid" (2:1) in the league phase of the Champions League, and "Inter" (3:1) in the playoffs. The return match with the Milan club will be held today at 00:00.
