On July 14, in the city of Shusha, the Minister of Emergency Situations, Colonel General Kamaladdin Heydarov, met with the Minister of the Interior of Slovakia, Matuš Šutaj-Eštok, who came to Azerbaijan as part of the delegation during the official visit of the President of Slovakia, Peter Pellegrini.
According to information received by Medianews.az from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the meeting took place as reported.
It was noted with pleasure that, thanks to the political foresight and mutual trust of the leaders of the two countries, strategic partner relations based on friendship, respect, and close cooperation have been established between Azerbaijan and Slovakia. In this regard, it was emphasized that there is great potential to develop ties between the relevant agencies of the two countries.
Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov gave detailed information to the Slovak minister, Matuš Šutaj-Eštok, about the activities of the Azerbaijani Ministry of Emergency Situations, including humanitarian demining operations conducted in the territories of Karabakh and Eastern Zangazur liberated from occupation. It was expressed with certainty that the meeting will create a strong foundation for cooperation and exchange of experience between the two agencies in various areas of combating natural and man-made emergencies, including civil defense, risk assessment and implementation of preventive measures, organizing rescue operations, and other fields.
The Slovak Minister of the Interior, Matuš Šutaj-Eštok, expressed gratitude for the sincere meeting and noted the mutual benefit of utilizing the existing potential for multifaceted cooperation between the relevant bodies of Azerbaijan and Slovakia in the management of emergencies.
A broad exchange of views was held on issues of mutual interest during the meeting.
