In the first half of 2026, Georgia's exports exceeded 3.8 billion dollars, imports exceeded 9 billion dollars, resulting in a negative trade balance of more than 5.1 billion dollars in trade turnover.
Medianews.az reports that according to the National Statistics Service's report, compared to the first half of 2025, trade turnover increased by 5.8 percent, exports by 20.1 percent, and imports by 0.7 percent.
The negative trade balance in foreign trade was reported as 9.5 billion dollars in 2023, 10.3 billion dollars in 2024, and 11.3 billion dollars in 2025.
