Following the request addressed by the Prosecutor General's Office to the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Montenegro and the submission of the required documents in accordance with international procedures, an agreement was reached on the extradition of Azerbaijani citizen Tugay Huseynov Joshgun oglu to our country.

It was reported that in the criminal case under investigation by the Investigation Department of the Main Department for Combating Corruption under the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Tugay Huseynov is accused of committing a socially dangerous act as provided by the relevant article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
According to the accusation, he is suspected of deceiving a victim by promising assistance in admission to postgraduate studies at universities located in foreign countries, abusing trust and obtaining a total sum of 150 thousand euros through fraud.
Based on the evidence collected in the criminal case, a decision was made to involve Tugay Huseynov as an accused person; considering that he evaded the investigation, he was put on international wanted list through the Interpol National Central Bureau in Baku city.
As a result of the international search and operational measures carried out, Tugay Huseynov was located and detained in the territory of the Republic of Montenegro.
Currently, the relevant measures are being carried out by the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Azerbaijan regarding his transfer to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The Prosecutor General's Office continues effective cooperation with foreign partner institutions, including Interpol, for the purpose of identifying and detaining persons on international wanted lists in the territories of foreign states and ensuring their extradition to the Republic of Azerbaijan.
