Nepal's Prime Minister Sharma Oli has resigned amid mass riots in the country.
"Qafqazinfo" reports that this information was announced by Oli's assistant Prakash Silva.
It should be noted that on September 4, the Nepalese leadership imposed restrictions on the WhatsApp messenger, Facebook, Instagram, and other social networks that were not registered with the country's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. On September 8, a protest was held against this government decision in Kathmandu and other cities with thousands of participants. The protest was mainly attended by young people. During the clashes that occurred during the protests, 19 people died and more than 100 were injured. The restrictions were lifted on September 9.
Nevertheless, today, another rally was organized in front of the parliament building in the capital demanding the resignation of the government. Protesters stormed the residence of the country's President Ram Chandra Paudel and set it on fire.
