At least 41 people have died and more than 650,000 have been affected by the floods that have occurred in recent days in Assam state, located in northeastern India.

Food, drinking water, medicine, and hygiene supplies are being distributed to the population, and rescue operations continue in the affected areas.
The army, Air Force, and other agencies have been involved in the rescue measures. Drones are used to deliver essential supplies to people isolated from the outside world in hard-to-reach areas.
India's Meteorological Department has issued warnings for the next four days regarding expected storms, lightning strikes, and heavy rains in some areas.
