According to the National Hydrometeorology Service, on July 25-26, some areas of Baku and the Absheron Peninsula will experience heat close to 40 degrees.
From July 25-29, the temperature is expected to reach 40 degrees in some districts, and rise to 41 degrees in certain parts of the Central Aran and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.
Medianews.az reports that since the beginning of the summer season in Azerbaijan, 40-degree heat has been recorded only once - on July 15 in some districts.
The summer season in Azerbaijan began at noon on June 21.
One day before that, on June 20, the last day of spring, there was also a 40-degree temperature recorded. That temperature was recorded in the Julfa district.
Since the beginning of the summer season, Baku has not yet experienced 40-degree heat.
