A dispute occurred between a female passenger and the driver on passenger bus number 211 in Baku.
In the footage circulating on social networks, it is seen that the woman wanted to take a scooter belonging to her child on the bus, but the driver did not allow this.
Medianews.az reports that in response to Trend's inquiry, "Baku Bus" LLC stated that the issue was investigated and during the incident, the bus driver did not properly apply the existing rules regarding carrying a child's scooter on the bus.
It was noted that according to clause 5.1 of the "Passenger and baggage transportation rules by motor vehicles," on regular bus routes, a passenger has the right to carry one piece of hand luggage—measuring no more than 60 cm × 40 cm × 20 cm and weighing no more than 20 kilograms—and a baby stroller free of charge.
It was stated that during the incident there was a misunderstanding in the application of the rules by the driver. In this regard, an apology was made to the passenger, especially to her minor child.
"Baku Bus" added that appropriate disciplinary action will be taken against the driver regarding the incident, and furthermore, to prevent similar cases from recurring, all drivers will be given additional instructions on the current rules.
